Campus Safety Week is a campus-wide effort to raise awareness about personal safety and to remind the campus community of the many resources around campus that help us promote health and safety in our personal and occupational environments.

10:00 - 11:00am | Personal Defense Training | Gym 149 | This self-defense class will provide participants with options, techniques, and a way of analyzing situations so they can avoid physical confrontation when possible or handle such a situation when it is unavoidable. We will be working with pads so come to do some light striking, kicking, and kneeing. Loose, comfortable active wear is encouraged. |

11:00am - 12:00pm | Evacuation Chair Training | Meet at Library 4th Floor Elevators | The Evacuation Chair Program at SFSU is a critical component of our campus-wide commitment to safety, accessibility, and inclusive emergency preparedness. These chairs are strategically located in campus buildings to assist individuals with mobility impairments during emergency evacuations. Come learn how to utilize the chairs in order to assist others who may need them during an evacuation. | Drop-in Session |
1:00pm - 2:00pm | Cybersecurity Training | Library 121 | Protecting your digital life starts with good habits. In this session, you will learn how to build strong passwords, set up multi-factor authentication (MFA), and use password managers effectively. We will also cover how to spot phishing scams, keep your devices up to date, browse safely online, and report cyber incidents. Open to students, faculty, and staff, this training will help you stay secure both on campus and beyond. |

2:00pm - 4:00pm | Stop the Bleed Training | Library 286 | The goal of STOP THE BLEED is to promote efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before the professional emergency responders arrive. |

8:00am - 4:00pm | First Aid/CPR/AED Certification | Library 286 | First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. First Aid, CPR, and AED training is designed for anyone with little or no medical training, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. |

1:30 - 2:30pm | Wags for Wellness | Malcolm X Plaza | The Wags for Wellness Program aims to build community through stress relief activities and raise awareness of mental health and wellness resources on campus. Studies show animals can help relieve anxiety, and just petting a dog or cat can lower your blood pressure. We hope you will come out to pet one of our visiting therapy animals! Therapy Animals are certified assisted therapy animals from the SF SPCA. In the event of rain, the event may be relocated or canceled for the day. In this training, the University Police Department will walk you through practical steps for recognizing, preparing for, and responding to active threats on campus. You’ll learn safety strategies, response options, and ways to stay aware and calm under pressure. This session is open to all students, staff, and faculty who want to be better prepared to protect themselves and others. |

2:30 - 5:00pm | Learn to Swim/Water Safety | MWC Pool | Join the MWC Aquatics team for a 30 minute 1-on-1 swim lessons. These lessons serve as introduction to water safety for those who have limited swim abilities |
