Campus Safety Week is a campus-wide effort to raise awareness about personal safety and to remind the campus community of the many resources around campus that help us promote health and safety in our personal and occupational environments.

Join San Francisco State University as we host the California Office of Emergency Services for the Great California ShakeOut Tour 2026. Personal Defense Training |
This self-defense class will provide participants with options, techniques, and a way of analyzing situations so they can avoid physical confrontation when possible or handle such a situation when it is unavoidable. We will be working with pads so come to do some light striking, kicking, and kneeing. Loose, comfortable active wear is encouraged. In this interactive session, the American Red Cross will share practical tips on how to prepare for emergencies big and small—from creating a go-bag to making a family or roommate plan. This course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. First Aid, CPR, and AED training is designed for anyone with little or no medical training, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. |
