SFSU Update: The shelter in place order has been lifted. University Police Department and local agencies have completed the search, and no credible threat to the campus community has been discovered. Classes, finals and campus activities are canceled for the rest of the day. Regular activities will resume tomorrow (Friday, December 20).
All students and employees whose job duties allow may leave campus. Employees who need to return to campus to retrieve belongings may do so.
Residential students who are off campus may return to the residence halls. Residential students will receive a separate notice about campus support activities for them.
For students affected by the cancellation and disruption of finals, please coordinate with your faculty to explore alternative arrangements. Faculty members are encouraged to work closely with students to ensure suitable solutions are provided.

SFSU Update: Please continue to shelter in place. UPD and local agencies are continuing their sweep of campus with local agencies. Out of an abundance of caution we ask you continue to shelter in place. An update will be sent at approximately 4 p.m.

SFSU Alert: Please continue to shelter in place if you are on the main campus. UPD is conducting a sweep of campus with local agencies based on an anonymous threat of violence. Classes, finals and activities are canceled for the day. UPD will send an update once the sweep of campus is complete.

SFSU ALERT: UPD HAS RECEIVED A ANONYMOUS THREAT OF VIOLENCE. UPD IS COORDINATING AN INVESTIGATION WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON CAMPUS PLEASE SHELTER IN PLACE IMMEDIATELY OR GO TO A SECURE LOCATION, STAY AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS AND DOORS, AND REMAIN THERE UNTIL FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU ARE NOT ON CAMPUS PLEASE DO NOT COME, ALL CLASSES, FINALS AND ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED FOR THE DAY.
